Is ButterySpace free to use?
Yes, to start. You get five free pats, your allowance for finished files, with no sign-in, and you can churn more butter pats whenever you run low. A clean SVG, an SVG repair, or an image format conversion uses one pat; the 3D outputs (bookmark, Color Book, rounded STL, lithophane) use two.
What can I upload?
For image conversion and bookmarks: PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 20 MB. The format converter also reads iPhone HEIC, plus AVIF, TIFF, and BMP. To check or fix an existing SVG: an SVG up to 2 MB. You get a clean SVG back, plus the bookmark ZIP (3MF + matched single body STL) for bookmark conversions.
Do you store my files?
Only briefly. Your files are sent to the engine, processed, and handed back, and never sold. They auto-delete within 24 hours. If you opt in to product improvement, we keep that session’s files for up to 30 days and use them to improve our algorithms.
Why does a valid SVG still fail in Cricut?
A file can be valid XML and still break a cutter: missing canvas size, stroked outlines, embedded photos, or unsupported effects. ButterySpace checks for exactly those machine-specific traps before you download.
What is a pat?
A pat is one free use, named after a pat of butter. You get a few at no cost, and they are not a purchase. A clean SVG, an SVG repair, or an image format conversion is one pat; the 3D outputs (bookmark, Color Book, rounded STL, lithophane) are two. When they run out, churn the butter for more.
